Come and celebrate Finland’s first National Child Strategy on Wednesday 17 March at 9 o'clock.

Let’s celebrate! Finland has just published its first National Child Strategy.

We will mark the occasion on Wednesday 17 March 2021 at 9.00–10.00. Join us online in the festivities. A live stream of the event will open on the Government YouTube channel at 8.45. You can find a recording of the event later on the Child Strategy website www.lapsistrategia.fi, and it will be there until 16 May 2021.

Well-known journalist and presenter Marja Hintikka will be hosting the event, and children and young people will also have their voices heard. We will shed light on the Child Strategy, and Ministers Krista Kiuru and Annika Saarikko will explain why the Child Strategy is so important. Ansa Kynttilä and Tanhupallo, characters from the TV sketch show Putous, will be entertaining the guests, and the event will culminate in a performance by musician Stig.  The event will be held with video greetings and following the Covid-19 guidelines.

Join us in this virtual event to celebrate the rights of children and young people!
